I have visited Sharjah fish market i will be introducing some kind of fishes that are popular in the UAE, and I will mention every fish name in English and also the local name.

First of all I will be giving you some information about the fish market "The Chabra" Chabra is the name that we name the fish market in the UAE.

Sharjah fish market was founded in 1980 and it’s located in front of the see shore directly to keep the fish fresh from the see to the market. Also there are some fisher men that take their fishes to the auction before they take it to the market and the auction only happens in the early morning and on my visit I arrived late and the auction already finished so now let me take you on a tour and show you my collection of fishes

 now its time to intreduse the fishes to you by the local name in the UAE and the English name:

 1- This fish is called "Homara" and in English red snapper

2- This fish is called "Chanad" or "Kanad" and in English "barred Spanish mackerel"

 3- This fish is called "Gabt"

  4- This fish is called "Safi" and in English "Rabbit fish"

  5- This fish is called "Sheary" and English  " Emperor"

  6- This fish is called "Beyah" and in English "Mullet"

  7- This fish is called "Naghar" and in English "Calamari"

8- This is "Mahar" and in English "Oyster"

9- This is "Gabgob" and in English " Crab"

10- This fish is "Nagror" and in English " Silvery Grunt"

11- This fish is "Gbab" and in English Yellow-fin tuna 

12- This fish is "yaryor" and in English "Baby Shark"

13- This fish is "Oma" and in English Sardine

This was my visit to "Chabrt elsharjh" or Shariah fish market, I hope that now you can visit the fish market and know the local name for some of fishes
